What I particularly disliked about the movie was the fact that they
took how alot of the jokes that were accurate reflections of Douglas
Adams' wit, and replaced it instead with their own set of jokes that
simply were not funny. The BBC Mini-series was a far better adaptation.

I'm sorry, you're not allowed to say any of that ... people get really
offended ... and start flaming for it.

You'll have to cancel your post.

I think he could use some of the words. "Douglas Adams,, jokes,, were,,
funny", would be OK

I agree, but you can't blame the film-makers entirely, it
was Douglas Adams' script after all! I've liked the movie
much more on subsequent viewings and especially since
having heard the commentaries now, it brings what they
were trying to do more into focus for me, thus making
the film more enjoyable.

I think there is a lot that leads to a sequel and it needs the sequel to be
seen before it will make sense. Storyline with Humma K for instance is
unresolved.

they just need to grab his head and hand over the gun..they could
easily gloss over that fact. I wonder if DNA left any word on
how possible sequels would pan out, movie wise...

Aw, come on! You're spoiling it, if he cancels his post we can't have a
meta-flamewar on whether or not we are allowed to flame!

I demand that I may, or may not, make sense!

Have you watched the BBC mini-series recently? Perhaps your dislike of
the movie is giving the mini-series undeserved credit.:P
