I picked up a lovely Ficus Ginseng today. I think it's stunning, and
reminds me of an Ent... but it needs a name.
Suggestions please!

My love says "Flatfoot". I was thinking about the lines of "Twotrunk",
which sounds awful but you can see where I get it from. Maybe a more
poetic mind can do better! I kinda like Flatfoot, though.

i like it too! then you can shorten it to Fluff.
our ent is called Noa. that is a contraction of
Nogemåenjørrnårennfinnenforsvarslauselidenbuskiudhusemenka, still too
short and hasty a name for an ent, but i guess they will both grow
bigger together.

And a much better name for a three-headed helldog than "Three-headed
Helldoggy".

actually, to keep this on topic, i think Tolkien followed the same
thinking when he named Smaug. something which is able to creep
stealthily like a mouse? a *dragon*?

"onehastodosomethingwhenonefindsasmalldefenselessbushbutwhat "
it loses something in the translation, i think.

that, or smog. which rather gives the impression of a wheezing old
dragon who can only keep close to the ground. maybe he really was, and
the mad fight against him was only later embellishment by Bilbo and
those untrustworthy Daleks?

Depends on what you want from it. I'd surely like you to be wailing at
