I'd. Also. Like. To. Congratulate. Mr. Shatner.

It was nothing next to him doing the theme voice over with that singer doing
the warbling vocal. I had hoped they'd get the original singer to repeat it
(how great would that be to see the face of the person(s) that are
responsible for such an iconic piece of music?) but alas I think that was
just some opera singer - and good sport.
It was nice to see Shatner win AND seem to enjoy his association with Star
Trek for a change.
Props as well to Jon Stewart for his pre-taped 'edgy' comments on current
events. I laughed my ass off.

No, no, no, dude. You don't pause after every word. Bill pauses only
occasionally and, of course, for no apparent reason. :P

I thought it was funny that Alda theatrically tore up what appeared to be
his acceptance speech as Shatner made his way to the stage.

Who is the original singer, anyway?
And someone needs to make an MP3 of tonight's theme song performance.
Anyway, Ellen Degeneres just announced the winner of the Emmy Idol
contest. The look of disbelief on Shatner's face when Donald Trump won
was priceless. He looked like he was thinking "WTF? Why didn't
I...win?"

All BS aside about what an ass he can be, the guy is a terrific comic
actor, and is great on Boston Legal. He was born to play Dennie Crane.

The take off of "Seven" Shatner did about 5-10 years back on the MTV Movie
Awards(I think it was on that) was HILARIOUS. He basically played all the
various charactes as all his tv personas throughout his career (Kirk, PJ
Hooker, Rescue 911 etc). Classic.

Oh to find a clip of that online would be so fine.

Alda wasn't on TWW enough. He should have been nominated for Best
Guest Actor, not Supporting Actor.
My money was on Terry O'Quinn, who is terrific as John Locke on
"Lost".

And who did a good job on "Star trek: The Next Generation" in the
episode "Pegasus," IIRC.
