The rats are now jumping en masse one another in a desperate attemopt get
off the sinking "blame Bush" boat.

http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/HurricaneKatrina/story?id=1102467& amp;page=1&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312

When even ABC News states that "But experts say when natural disasters
strike, it is the primary responsibility of state and local governments -
not the federal government - to respond", I think that school is out for the
"blame Bush" fanatics.

Other choice bits:

"[F]ederal officials say in order to get involved, they must first be asked
to do so by state officials."

"[Crying Governor] Kathleen Blanco failed to submit a request for help in a
timely manner.

"Shortly before Katrina hit, [Blanco] sent President Bush a request asking
for shelter and provisions, but didn't specifically ask for help with
evacuations. One aide to the governor told ABC News today Blanco thought
city officials were taking care of the evacuation."

So, it looks like Doomsday for the "blame Bush" fanatics. As it has appeared
throughout this fiasco, Bush's main mistake was to fail to realize that the
Democrats in charge were utterly incompetent. Somehow, I don't think that
will have much traction with the voters.

HINT -- if you can't even get ABC to join your Bush-bashing, then that dog
probably won't hunt.

Game over; fat lady sang; school's out; horse is out of the barn; the
curtain has run down; etc. etc.

My question is how long it will take the mayor and governor to start lobbing
fireballs at each other in a desparate bid to save his or her phony baloney
job.

Pointless arguments as long as there's no explanation to
why, if Bush is without a blame, do the Bush-apologists
constantly feel they have to resort to lies and insults
to defend him.

You're a bit behind. Apparently Ty has now 'killfiled'
me, so I am free to mess with him at my leisure. :-)

I'm waiting for Ty to get tricked into staying out late, until dawn.

Then I want to put him up in my courtyard, with a bowl of water on his head
for the birds - can't think of anything for the bats, sadly, and the
pterodactyls are sadly no longer with us. (Unless it is proven ethical to
hollow out the heads of trolls and use _that_ as the water-bowl. ;)

What do people think?

lookintelligent woman of Ming home.  I trust you with a tender silence."  I
get a word into my hands, a different and unbelike, probably - 'she
fortunate fat woman', wrong word.  I think to me, I justupid.
