| Introducing myself :O [message #120882] |

Hey :)
I'm quite new here in the newsgroup stuff so please bear with me :P
currently using Google Groups but I'd prefer to use something else,
like a program specially for this or something. Oh well!, once I find
the way to enter using something else it'll be better, I guess :P
About me? well what can I say, a male game/applications/web programmer,
web designer, 3D/2D Artist (Best thing I can draw are stick men so it's
just 2D Computer-Graphics art :P) I play this random game name Furcadia
and make my own games and programs and stuff ^_^.
That's the... human part of myself, but I bet you want to know more
about my draconic being so...
Yes I'm a Dragon, I feel I am one because of everything that happens
around me, my attitudes, sixth sense (which works like hell o_O) and
uniqueness in this world... rarely in society I feel "at home", I
always feel as if I'm an outcast or something, stand out, but I'm never
noticed, and mostly used by people who you could call "friends" at
first contact... I guess the Internet is the best place for all Dragons
to share experiences with other Dragons without the fear I'm sure some
here are of saying the truth in the "real world".

There are a lot of good newsreaders out there. Personally I'm happy with
Thunderbird.
One more thing: It's easier to follow a conversation if you quote the
message you're replying to. On Google Groups you click on "show options"
then use the reply link that appears, rather than the one at the bottom
of the message.

Ack... this is a kinda long story, you see, I highly doubt they have
one because I don't have a phone line. How do I access internet you may
wonder? well, through a shared LAN internet connection, I live in
apartment towers, so some guys in the tower next to us set up some ISP
service, a router, a hub, and started connecting us through massive
lengths of LAN wires, we pay them the 30% of what the ISP charges
(thus, it's 24/7, cheaper, and high speed.. but at expenses of not
having the ports you want, not being able to host anything... etc :/,
that including direct access to the ISP's data. I could try asking, but
I'm not sure) so it's like that, guess my only way are those free
non-provider-specific ones out there you're talking about huh? :/

If you're willing to spend $8, you could try Giganews. My ISP used to
have a deal with them so i could use their server free (that was before
my isp set up their own server) and they were really reliable.

Just be glad that was a working address, not everyone here is brave
enough to put up a real one.

www.teranews.com
$3.95 and you get all the newsgroup goodies you want for free forever. 50
MB/day download limit (unless you're on binary groups, good luck maxing that
out).

I'll simply add a suggestion that FreeAgent (www.forteinc.com) is worth
a try, and offer my greetings. Welcome to xgrmpflmprxyzzz!

Even pun loving humans like me.
