I was designing my own pen and paper rpg and I was wondering if anybody
would like to join in on it. It will take a bit to create the spells
and monsters, but we could also stick to being a dnd conversion. I was
wondering who wanted to tag along.

The name of the game will be GateRunners. It will be about six
different races from six different planets who are constantly at war
with eachother, due to the nature of the gates. There are also six
heroes who have learned to work together for the betterment of all the
six planets and their civilizations.

Most people's campaign will begin on their home planets, but these six
heroes' campaign will begin on the nexus, which houses a seemingly
helpful hologram, about which not much is known to anybody on these
planets, and whose creator is a group of ancients about which the six
races know some things, but ultimately not much more than their place
as a legendary icon.

Oh, and the six races will all be anthropomorphic creatures.

I won't go into the details about any of the game here, mostly because
it's still in its development stage, I just wanted to give a summary.

So, what do you all think?

Sounds like it could be fun. I might be interested, but I'd like to
know a bit more about the system and it's races. I have been hoping to
find a PnP RPG system with a goodly amount of anthro races, other than
Iron Claw. (so hard to find books for it) I hope all goes well with
your system.

Same here. I'd love to be in on it, even if as something as little as
someone to bounce ideas off of. Or someone who says, "Ew, complicated
<noun>."

There will be six anthro races. However, I do not like the idea of
anthro monsters. I mean, anthros are people, not vile beasts thirsting
for blood and whatnot.

What do you mean by system, though? It will be very similar to DnD in
some respects, and it will be difficult to create new skills, feats,
and equipment, so in its beginning phases, I will just be adding a few
here and there. I am planning on making new monsters, spells, and
classes; one base class and a few prestige classes.

No ideas, but if you start explaining things in detail I could come up with
stuff. By detail I mean how the system works, races, monsters, classes,
etc.

Ok, thanks, that more or less answers my questions. I'd still like to
know more about the races, but I'm assuming you haven't figured that
out yet. I do think you should have more than just one base class,
though. Even if you do just make it an expantion for D&D, I think it'd
be a good idea. Also, as far as the races, if you haven't already, you
might consider having some reptilians in adition to the obvious
furries. If you want any other suggestions, just ask.

Okay, first off, I'm making an ADDITIONAL base class, meaning there are
twelve in all. The eleven plus one base classes are sufficient for my
purposes.

As for the races, they are as follows: Armadillo, Otter, Monkey,
Lizard, Bird, and Gargoyle.

I'll have a site up and ready within a week, hopefully. All I need is
someone who can talk with myself and the others involved with the
project and type up a description, IE a transcriptionist, and we will
get the description of the races all set up and posted online.

Ok, I know you meant an additional base class. If you don't want to
have more than one, that's ok. You asked for suggestions. As for the
race list, I like it, it shows originality. Although, the lack of
felines and canids might upset some furs. I look forward to when you
have all the information up. It really does sound like a lot of fun.

Felines and Canids are too typical. That's why I didn't add them. As
for only having one additional base class, it's because the other base
classes are so encompassing that I don't really need more than one
more. There will be feline and canid monsters, however. Or at least,
I'm sure there will be.

Anyways, this is the information reguarding the civilizations of the
six races:

Armadillos: Muslim Religion
Otters: African Tribes
Monkeys: Japanese Nation
Lizards: Celtic Culture
Birds: Greek City-States
Gargoyles: Barbaric Hordes

Though I could call it Islam Religion and Greek Provinces, this is the
same list I gave to FDR at CCC Furs.

Also, what happened to Scott? He's not responding to my most recent

Basically I wanted to know all the dragon gods and other dragons that
aren't in the monster manuals.
