| CDs of last three radio series' [message #109075] |

Hi all,
I received the CDs of the last three radio series for my birthday, and
immediately ripped them all so that I can listen to them on my Squeezebox
and IPod.
Now I've started to listen to them, I'm finding that the track names don't
really match up. The first bit of each episode, where the book speaks an
introduction, usually doesn't appear on the track listing. As such, what is
listed as track 1, is actually track 2 on the CD. At some point during the
episode, two of the track names are actually combined into one track, and
then the last few tracks of the episode match up correctly.
Anyone else noticed this? Anyone suggest some titles for the 'book' bits at
the beginning of each episode? For example, one of the ones in the Quandary
Phase discusses whether Arthur has ever had sex. I've called this on 'Man or
Mouse'.
Any thoughts?
Andy

Get MarkAble - it's a program which will take the mp3s you've made of
Hitchhiker's, and then convert them into single audio files (I've used it to
consolidate the 60 segments from the Tertiary Phase into the six episodes)
and then convert them to AAC format using iTunes and then rename them to
..m4b files so that they appear as audiobooks on your iPod.
Using this method, I've just called them "HHGG 3.2" where the first number
denotes phase and the second denotes episode. Boring, I know, but it
ensures they're in the right order in the audiobooks playlist, which does it
by alphabetical as opposed to anything more logical.
MarkAble is five days free evaluation, then you have to pay $15 for
continued use. Go to http://www.ipodsoft.com/index.php?/software/markable
to download it.
