I swear that this is the stupidest fucking thing I have read in a long
time.

http://www.avrilsupport.sup.fr/

God help 'em if they ever discover that Avril is more than likely not
a virgin...

This dumbfuck's petition is just crying out to be ruined by smart-ass
comments and abuse, right guys?

Sunday school? Yeah - after reading that shite, it wouldn't surprise
me if Jeezoids were behind it...

I would really like to meet the hypothetical kids who "begin to smoke
and get wasted even though they are too young, just because they saw
you do it, and they think it’s cool", just so I can laugh at them and
make them cry.

Is it any wonder that Avril hates the majority of her fans?

You can bet on it. That crap wasn't written by "teenyboppers."

She'd hate me because I posted this: Avril, I hope now that you're rich
and famous that you've decided to do something about your horrible
breath, like brushing your teeth occasionally. Please fornicate in
public, OK?

The kook responsible for this apparently has a backstage pass for one
of Av's upcoming gigs and is actually going to present her with the
petition face to face.

Hope someone is present with a camera to capture the rectal insertion
of said petition for posterity... :)

Yeah - I remember that well. I ended up having the books (most

This was in 1970 or so. I always thought it was a great idea. Kids make so
many mistakes at pre-school, that giving them paper is a waste.

Of course it is. Everyone's handwriting is better than mine. I have to
write in block capitals if I want others to be able to read it...

We had a great progression in writing tools - chalk, pencil, fountain pen,
biro. Worked brilliantly.

No. Forgive me if I'm making assumptions about your school, but you could
have been a doctor if the school you went to had a careers councillor that
said "Hey Dav, why not be a doctor?". The problem is that schools don't do
that. When I went to see my councillor he gave me three choices -
dockworker, miner, or brickie - and I was reasonably bright at school.

I honestly didn't really have much to rebel against. My parents weren't
really that strict (I did have a couple of wooden brushes break on my arse
though). I went to a beach party once when I was 16. Gone for three days and
mum didn't notice :) Allowed to do my own thing, as long as it wasn't really
stupid.

We only had like one fifteen-minute session with our careers guy - I
can't remember anything that we discussed. I stayed on to do my
A-levels (mainly because I had nothing better to do), then went to
university after scraping through those (mainly because I had nothing
better to do). I lasted a year, dropped out and then worked loads of
thankless minimum-wage jobs in the service industry. Now, here I am -

My parents were no parents at all to me. My nan brought me up almost
as her own son, yet she didn't feel that she had the right to
discipline me as she wasn't 'really' my mother. Therefore I grew up to
be a little shit that all the teachers at school thought was insane. I
guess I didn't turn out too badly in the end - I think I'm a pretty
decent guy, even though I do have my quirks...

But you learned, and that's the important part. Some people never do, and
treat the world and everyone else in it like a piece of toilet paper.

That's exactly what I mean. They don't exactly install confidence and hope
in a kid. I did exactly the same (cook, labourer, shopwork, factorywork,
decorator), until I kicked myself up the arse when I was about the same age
as you are now.

Yeah - I'm not exactly sure how I learned, but somehow I managed.
Perhaps it's because I generally hate the majority of humanity and see
very little good in most people I meet? Tends to make a man not want
to behave like them... :)

Definitely not IT.
I always enjoyed working in record shops. It does mean selling complete shit
to morons though.
Don't do labouring unless you want to get fit and at the same time cripple
your back :) I used to move a few thousand 6" concrete blocks per day - very
tough, backbreaking work.

I've always fancied forrestry work, but it's hard to get training down
here - the Job Centre actually said "there's not many trees in Cornwall"
TRUE!

Yeah, forestry sounds kinda cool - actually I very nearly enrolled on
a forestry course many, many years ago...

I quite like the idea of farming (even though there is supposedly very
little money to be made nowadays) - I seem to have an affinity with
animals that I don't have with people.

I'm sick and tired of working in the service industry, that's for
sure. Dehumanized, under-paid and under-appreciated - and that's when
you have a *good* job...

True, true. It's the "customer-interfacing" bit that I have trouble with :)
I used to do IT support 24 hours a day (using a pager and laptop), 6 days a
week, 375 days a year. Burnt out in three years. Just couldn't do it
anymore.

Had a bar job that involved working 10am-3pm, 6pm-2am split shifts six
days a week - in effect doing a supervisor's job for minimum wage
(they promised me a raise and a place on a bar management course -
they lied!). Completely destroyed me in six months - had to take some
time out to recover after that...

Didn't help that the kids they hired to work with me were fucking
useless and didn't give a shit about their jobs (they were like, "I
still live at home, so I can jack this in tomorrow and go back on the
dole").

I've got a load if you want one. They're all stuck to the fridge door :)
I lost 'rithmetic'. Odd seeing as my working life now revolves around

You mean that algebra has other practical applications other than if
you want to build a bridge?
