"CR" is too general... how are we to differentiate between Casino Royale

Yeah I remember the good old days as well where we had
a Bond actor who was something to look at.

You see bottom line I'm not going to fall behind
King Michael, and Queen Barbara. That whatever they do
is alright Cubby must be rolling in his grave.

I agree. Or, more to the point, I think we'll say

1. "CR" (meaning 2006),
2. "The 60s CR" or "CR 67," meaning that one, and
3. (something like) "the TV Casino Royale from the 50s."

How about:

1. "CR" (meaning the 2006 version)

2. "CRap" (meaning the '67 version)

3. CRud (meaning the U.s. Debacle)

cheers

I'd have to agree... nothing can blow as bad as the David Niven version.
Hell, I don't even know what that movie's about.

Funny :-)

I'd like CR-AP more if we could claim that "AP" was the initials of
something related to the 1967 version.

For #3, "CR-TV" seems to say it all, but I don't think we discuss that
version enough to need an acronym.

I don't see any threads about the Bond-related confusion as to whether
DN means Dr. No or David Niven :-)

I vote CR-CKF, to emphasize who was at fault.

Just glanced at Charles K. Feldman's entry at IMDb. Did you know he produced
two of the adaptations of Tennessee Williams plays, including the much
beloved "Streetcar Named Desire"? Yes, the scripts were toned down, but the
acting was generally terrific.

He also produced the classic '60's romp, What's New Pussycat? Fun, but
dated.

The guy had talent at one time.

I did not know that CR was his last production and that he died in 1968.
