The Phoenix Project will be Titan Books' next collection of classic
James Bond comic strips. The collection will also contain The Black
Ruby Caper, Till Death Do Us Part and The Torch-Time Affair. The book
is due out in the UK in late February 2007.

First serialized from Sept 1974 to Feb 1975, The Phoenix Project sees
007 traveling to Istanbul in search of a suit of armor which makes the
wearer impenetrable to bullets, grenades, and fire.

Black Ruby Caper sees 007 in action in Switzerland and Ghana; Till
Death Do Us Part has Bond in Austria; and Torch-Time Affair features
007 in Mexico.

The Phoenix Project follows Titan's Trouble Spot (which includes Isle
of Condors, The League of Vampires and Die With My Boots On) which will
be released on September 22, 2006 in the UK and in the U.S. January 30,
2007.

That's very odd. I wouldn't have thought they would skip stories like
that.

The chronology (from the soon-to-be published TROUBLE SPOT onwards)
runs like:

The Girl Machine
Beware Of Butterflies
The Nevsky Nude
--> The Phoenix Project
The Black Ruby Caper
Till Death Do Us Apart
The Torch-Time Affair

Why would they skip 3 stories? I was under the impression THE GIRL
MACHINE, BEWARE OF BUTTERFLIES and THE NEVSKY NUDE would accompany THE
PHOENIX PROJECT.

The reported 'line up' seems like idle speculation, based on the
assumption that the title of the collection would be the first
adventure. Why report this guesswork as 'fact'?

This isn't "guesswork." This information comes directly from Titan
Books. I emailed them and asked what was next. This is what they told
me.

I also think it's odd they've skipped three stories. I was expecting
the same line-up as you. But it could be they can't complete one or
more of those strips and they flipped the order. I think they did this
at least once during the Fleming run as well.
