STEVE VAI, JOE SATRIANI Planning Special One-Off Show For Los Angeles
According to guitarist Steve Vai, he and Joe Satriani are planning a
special one-off show for late September, due to take place in Los
Angeles. Details are expected to be announced soon. Stay tuned.
As previuously reported, the following update has been posted at Vai.com:
"Steve Vai and Dweezil Zappa are featured in the August 2006 issue of
Guitar Player magazine which is on newsstands now. Steve is
interviewed about his tenure with Frank Zappa, and Dweezil is
interviewed about his undertaking to learn Frank's music in
preparation for the Zappa Plays Zappa tour.
Steve and Dweezil are also interviewed about the Zappa Plays Zappa
tour in the August 2006 issue of Guitar World magazine (with Tom
DeLonge and Jade Puget on the cover).
Steve Vai and Andy Timmons are featured on the cover of the July 2006
issue of Young Guitar magazine which is widely available in Japan. The
interview with Steve and Andy covers the release of Andy's new album
Resolution; an in-depth look at Favored Nations and an exhaustive FN
discography; Steve's involvement in the Zappa Plays Zappa tour and his
recent album Real Illusions:Reflections; plus a pull-out poster of
Steve and Andy. The interview, which was conducted in Los Angeles
during a break in rehearsals on the eve of the ZPZ tour is also
complimented by a number of great photos."

Tickets are due to go on sale in mid-to-late July.
