School of Rock coming to R.B.
Fast becoming known as the place to teach kids how to rock - from
the classroom to authentic concert stages - The Paul Green School
of Rock will be giving the gift of rock to Monmouth County youth
at The Children's Cultural Center in Red Bank.
Located within the cultural center at 51 Monmouth St., The Paul
Green School of Rock Music Red Bank is preparing to officially
open its doors Sept. 1.
But the celebration begins Saturday, July 8, when the school
headlines an all-ages concert at Asbury Lanes, 209 Fourth Ave.,
in Asbury Park, to benefit the Children's Cultural Center.
Showtime is 3 p.m. For tickets and information, call (732) 776-6160.
The School of Rock All Stars (ages 9-17) bring the gift of rock
to capacity crowds of all ages, with the greatest classic rock
hits from Zeppelin to Zappa.
According to a press release, The Paul Green School of Rock was
the apparent inspiration for the Jack Black full-length hit
comedy, "School of Rock," as well as the subject of "Rock
School," a critically acclaimed documentary film
To date, Green's students have played over 1,500 concerts to more
than 500,000 people at legendary venues around the world. The
primary goal is to foster a new generation of incredible
musicians by exposing the students to classic rock amid a
stimulating, interactive school environment.
