anyone seen a free font out there that approximates the original font
found on Adams' Hitchhikers Guide books? if so, where can i get it?

I've seen one that is meant ot be like his handwriting.
Which cover do you mean? Do you mean the red stuff in capitols on the
paperback ?

i, too have seen Adams' writing in a font, but I'm looking for the
paperback cover font-- the sort of '50s looking neon-like font...have
you seen it somewhere?

Thought that was the one you meant. I've not seenthat exact font but I have
seen ones that are very similar. If you look at the free font websites you
should come across something but it may take a while browsing through.
The book cover was done at a time when such images were drawn and as such it
probably isn't a font. I'm not sure if the image is from a TV screen. It may
not have been produced on computer - but I'm not sure.

These are what I found on Google...

Both are the same, but the second link looked more complete.
Could not find anything on Dogpile :(
