uh
You know, yesterday was 6-6-06, the Antichrist's birthday, and nothing
cataclysmic happened (on a worldwide scale, that is). So be it: Powers of
Good 1, Satan 0.
But wait a minute! Maybe a day late and a dollar/pound/deutschmark short,
but now there's this. I sat through the whole thing. It came just hours
after I watched a part of "Live with Regis and Kelly" where the winner of
"The Apprentice" was interviewed. And what were the first words out of
Kelly's mouth after the pretty-boy Brit was introduced? "You should have
been the new James Bond!"
Update: Powers of Good 1, Satan 2.
I don't care if the stunning climax of "Casino Royale" is now going to be
Bond lighting a sack of doggy poop on Le Chiffre's villa doorstep - I will
support Daniel Craig to my utmost.
Libera nos, quaesumus, Domine, ab omnibus malis.

F***ing hell. F***ing f***ing hell.
Is it just me or does he look more like Robert Z'Dar with every passing
year?

(Favourite cover of the song is still the Plugz/Cruzados 'Hombre

The only explanation I can think of for this is.... the VOOM network
only had $5 left in its budget after the digital effects were completed
and Adam West wasn't available.

that video of me covering Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun'

Great googly-moogly! It's the bastard step-child of William Shatner and
Roger Moore.

It is cheesy and it is horrible, but it DOES capture some of the essence of
what made spy movies of the 1960's so popular.
If I were 11 or 12 years old, I might easily buy into the Hasselhoff vision
of cool. Kinda like when I was seven and thought Sean Connery and a
hollowed-out volcano and Little Nellie were the coolest things in existence.
Tom Zielinski
"...Bond's eyes narrowed. He knew, at some point, he would have to slay this
particular dragon. He settled back in his chair, removing a Morlands' three
ring special from the gunmetal cigarette case. As he waited for the
delicious Balkan/Turkish blend to take effect on his lungs, he reflected
that he had never seen even one episode of "Baywatch."

Oh, I'm not complaining about the vision of cool portrayed in the
video, because my inner 12-year-old would still dig that if it were
made and played well, and I still get a kick out of lots of elements of
YOLT despite the fact that my adult self would most likely never want
to see them in a Bond movie again. The UNCLE, Flint, and even Helm
vehicles can still give me a mildly guilty twinge of pleasure.
However, IMHO Hasselhoff and this video crew ain't even got the chops
to make a Charles Vine movie.

I saw one or two, and wasn't sure whether I was watching actual
episodes of the show or just fifty-minute loop tapes of the opening
credits.

Well, my mind was suitably blown. And not in a good way.
