Italian Own Goal [message #279742] Do, 22 Juni 2006 10:11

I wonder if Cristian Zaccardo got that peculiar tingling round the back of
his neck that slowly crept up across his cheeks and heated his brow when he
tied the match by scoring the Americans' only goal in the Italy v. USA World
Cup match last week.

I also wonder if that's why afda has been so dead lately. Is everyone too
busy watching the matches to think about DNA?

I've not watched much of the football. I've been too busy just trying
to remain conscious during the day and unconscious during the night.
Unfortunately the really light nights (Northern Hemisphere) mean that
I'm not getting a lot of sleep, which then spins into not being
particularly awake for the rest of the time.

Dude! One of the fabulous uses of towels is covering the window to make
your bedroom dark enough that you can sleep. It helped me many times...

Hey, that' one of my favorite uses of towels! I'm glad to see that use
has not gone unnoticed elsewhere :-)

I'm still here, just not feeling in an active mood lately.

I have a hunch someone's beaten you to it :-)

As for the World Cup, I'm Australian of Italian descent and the two halves
of my cultural identity are playing each other next week.

I did?

I don't remember. Trouble sleeping. Long sentences. Not Possible.
Anymore. Them.

Good plan.

Unfortunately we don't have any means to. Er. Y'know - put towels up
at the window. Thing.

So tired.

We've got vertical blinds. We clothes-peg a "blackout blind" to this.
And then draw the curtains.

It's "semi-not-quite-totally-light" in our room. At night.

Unless the moon's full. In which case it's un-dark.
