Since Scott the Monkey is out sick right now, I thought I'd post
this for him. Make a poem and post it (doesn't count if you don't
share!) using the following words:

sticker
vociferous
levee
sniffle
turnpike

And remember to use all the words :)

Maybe Scott will read and have his recovery sped up :)

Vociferous blaring of the A/C,
Waiting at the turnpike,
the fumes still get to me,
You all know what I feel like.

Sniffle, sniffle, a head cold's botherin' me,
Tunnel vision distracts me from the road,
I'm not thinkin' straight, 'most hit the levee,
It seems, sickness has us woed.

Maybe not, if this is the most cheerful thing I can come up with. :/ I
have no title for it.

Like a small sniffle before the sneeze,
The first drops crest the levee's side.
Oblivious, cars are driven on the turnpike below,
Horns sounding, vociferous, in rush-hour's midst.
But in scant moments, only one sound
Will make itself heard in that concrete channel
Betwixt whose sides the traffic now crawls.
The roar of the flood will drown all else;
The torrent, ignorant, illiterate, does not heed
The warnings of the bumper sticker on the car
It is about to inundate; that if the words
Can be read, there could be a crash. There is.

Well, not exactly out sick, just less active. missed a few days this week
for example - and hadda catch up on 127 posts today! ^_^

Now, for my turn at doin' a poetry thingy...

Saw a vociferous coniferous
At the turnpike with a loud shrike
Quite the bevy by the levee
Playing whiffle with a sniffle
Sad 'cause the sticker wasn't their picker

Oh goodness but I'm out of form - but that was fun!
