"I wish that I could really tell you
All the things that happened to me, and all that I have seen.
A world full of people, their hearts without joy.
Cities of light with no fear of war,
And thousands of creatures with happier lives
And dreams of a future with meaning and no need to lie.
No need to hate... No need to hide... Keep it dark."
- Genesis "Keep It Dark"
"Is it true I can spread my wings?
Flying high, high; like a bird in the sky
Like an eagle that rides on the breeze
High... high! What a feeling to fly!
Over mountains, and forests, and seas...
And to go anywhere that I please...."

But don't you ride it too high..."

I disagree. Rowling hardly invented the concept of the literary dragon.
There are several other, more deserving books said dinosaur's name could
have referred to -- although admittedly, it /is/ a herbivore. >:)

While this is true, I'm all for honoring ANYTHING that expands the
minds of children into the realms of fantasy, be it Rowling,
Tolkien or any of a dozen other authors.

Same.

And I never meant that naming the dino after Rowling was the "awesome" part.

Seems to be a first, though. Has any other dinosaur been named after
any fictional place/character/etc.?

Not that I know of, so I suppose it qualifies as "awesome" as well
