Hi!
And kind regards to all my fellow Discworld lovers.
I discovered this newsgroup quite recently, so if this is not relavent
or obscure in any way, I apologise. I got hooked onto DW just a year
ago, when I picked up Night Watch arbitrarily from the library. I was
ocassionally befuddled, but laughed out loud lots of times, and ended
up loving it.
It still is my favourite, and since then I've read all the Watch books
and a couple of others.
Not all the books are available here, so I sometimes beg miscellaneous
friends and relatives to get me some when they go abroad. I haven't
even read Going Postal yet. :(
Oh well. I'm so delighted at finding alt.fan.pratchett that I think I'm
going to hop around the room for a while to let out my excitement.

Welcome to AFP... glad you found us!
My advice to you would be:
1. Get a cup of coffee, sit in the comfy chair, and watch the group for a
while... develop a feel for the atmosphere... and who knows, someone
might buy you a drink (looks around for the welcoming committee)
2. Enjoy yourself
