Hell yea! I'm up for it as long as it is for the "honorable" retirement

It would be nice if they could use it as a launching pad for a STAR TREK:
TITAN series, with Riker at the helm!

There's too much of that fiddly surface detail on pretty much all the modern
designs. The Ent-E looks like the designer got bored and scribed it with
Aztec markings. I wish they'd get back to the clean, elegant simplicity of
the NCC-1701 refit (ST-TMP). That'll never look out of date.
Can't say I'm muchly keen on the nacelles being on the bottom either. Maybe
they could just turn the model upside down, like they did with the Reliant.

I'd prefer one without him. I think over the course of the movies they've
wrecked the character- particularly with the feeble conclusion to Nemesis. I
simply don't have any respect for the character of Picard any more. Let's
have a movie with a captain Riker (so the writer doesn't have the usual
dilemma of what to do with him because Picard has to be "the star"), with
some proper screen time for the rest of the principals (Worf, La Forge,
Troi, Crusher) and please, not a single appearance of the tiresome fecking
android, in *any* incarnation.

Or rather Riker at the buffet. In Nemesis he was fatter than ever.

Quit whining! It keeps with the basic design of the other starships. And you
haven't even had a look at the inside of it yet.

I'm REALLY worried about this after the last movie. They left that loophole
there to bring back Data (even after they killed him off) with that retard
brother of his. PLEASE! NOOOOOOOO!

Yeah, what he said. My sentiments exactly.
If Paramount had any brains rattling around in there, they'd do a DS9
t.v. movie for sweeps. The actors would be cheap, most of the sets
aren't rocket science (you only show a small part of the promenade),
and apart from the ratings bump the DVD sales would more than pay for
the cost of production.
If Viacom wants to stump up the funding, I'm ready to be called "Mr.
Producer" ;]

I'd be up for that too. As long as Riker commands like
Picard in that he stays on the ship most of the time and
lets the younger people be the away team. The Captain
would NEVER be the first one in.
It grates on me that the PTB don't have a military expert
on the set telling them a bit of military stategy.
Perfect Example: When Riker and co started trying to
repel Shinzon's henchmen in the halls of the Ent-E. There
was ZERO strategy used. Not only did he not say anything to
his guys and gals along the lines of, "You go this way and I'll go
that way", he ran in front of his suppressive fire! Holy crap!
That falls on the shoulder of the director in my book. You
don't have to know anything about tactics but you should
have someone else standing by that does.

Well, Marina Sirtis said that he had lost quite a bit of weight for the
series finale of Star Trek: Enterprise. I thought they both looked pretty
good.

I agree. My favorite ship was the Ent-Refit/Ent-A. I loved the beauty shots.

They started Nemesis with the wedding last time. This time
they could start with his retirement party. He really deserves
one. Especially if you go back and watch the TNG episodes
again. I honestly think he is one of the most important reasons
why TNG flew and wasn't constantly compared to TOS. He
wasn't like Kirk. Or have the next movie end with it. Either
way it really is closure we needed from the last movie.
Then they could have him move to Earth so he can finally
"DO" Beverly on a regular basis.
I agree with you on B4. He would ruin it. Maybe they could
go to a Data statue unvailing at StarFleet HQ.

But how would you get all the characters worked in since they all went
their separate ways? And, I don't think the actors would be quite as
cheap as you think. Bashir has a new movie, Brooks is an advocate now,
Meanie has regular work. Odo has a series I think.
It would be cool if Sisco brought Jadzia back with him from the Netherworld.
For obvious reasons. Yea, I'm biased. Oh, please include Seven somehow.
We need to see her on the big screen. ;-)

Finally, someone who knows what he's talking about. If Picard is
there, he will dominate Riker. I'm sick of the android, also. Deep
six Data. Get some new blood on the bridge. Another Klingon. An
Andorian based on the "Enterprise" Andorians. Maybe a strong
female first officer for Riker, who will take him away from Troi.
And get Riker to the fat farm before the movie is shot.

I had an eerie premonition. The scene is Doctor Crusher and B4 in
Sick Bay. She is trying to reassure B4 about his place on Enterprise.
-----------
B4: "I'm not smart, like Data. Our father, Dr. Soong, didn't build
me right. He made me so that I'll get old. See?" (shows Crucher
his wrinkles)
Crusher: "Don't say that, B4. He gave you something Data struggled
all his life to achieve. He gave you human emotions."
B4: (wonderingly) "He did?"
Crusher: "Yes, he did. You can be taught to be smart. I'll help you."
Riker: (appearing in the doorway) "We'll all help you, B4."
----------
Awk! Uck! Gag me with a spoon!

But Deanna will know her or even his intentions WAY before
anything can happen and stick her foot up whoever's ass needs
it. Movie Troi seems a bit more of a "take no shit" kind of
person compared to the very "fuckable", low neckline, dress

Yeah. We never did really get much of the Betazoid "sexually permissive
culture" angle did we? I still think the funniest thing in the world is that
Nemesis reveals that these wild hedonists have sex through a *sheet*.
Apparently contraception in the future is 50% polyester/cotton.

I can never get enough of that ship. One of the biggest errors of TMP was
that they didn't put it through its paces. It spends most of the film either
in dock or getting hauled about by tractor beams and doesn't fire a shot.
They should have done the ending where the Klingons from the start of the
movie and everything else get de-digitised when V'ger disappears, and Kirk
and the Enterprise find themselves facing three *very* angry Klingon
captains. "Hilarity", and a saucer separation, ensues. Apparently it was
scrapped on the basis it might be exciting or something.
Anyway, the refit was a beautiful design and has certainly stood the test of
time. Ample proof that you don't need bits of model kits (or the modern CG
equivalent) to make a ship look interesting and "real". Personally, I think
it was the most "real" looking of any of the ships. The original (TOS) is a
bit *too* lacking in detail (but then it was for TV screens the size of a
tobacco tin) and the whirly nacelle lights do look a bit hokey these days.
The later ships (to my old eyes) never quite seem massive and solid.
But the 1701-refit, said Goldilocks, is *just right*.

Sure, I like Deanna, I'd let her find out what the other officer
was trying to do and have her fight to keep her man. Maybe in a
literal sense -- catfight! The other female officer should
probably be a Bajoran, only because they are so full of themselves.

I'll give you all except the "whirly nacelle lights do look a bit hokey." My
favourite bit from the Enterprise mirror universe episode, was seeing an
*original* Constitution class in all her glory. Guess there is no need to
tell you my favourite kind of Federation starship. The later ones, however,
blow up better when ya shoot 'em.

The original Constitution's a classic and brilliant design. The original
whirly lights look, to modern eyes, too low-tech, but as you say, the MU
defiant looked stunning and the nacelle lihgts didn't let the side down at
all.
I sometimes wonder whether my love of the original Enterprise design is
motivated purely by nostalgia and a displaced loyalty. But I think not so.
The original is elegant and simple (simple in a positive way). Everyone
who's designed starships afterwards has been stuck with trying to create
something similar, but different, so they've never had the freedom to create
something really new. I'm not a particular fan of the Ent-D or the Excelsior
class- the drive sections always look to me too complex in shape, a bit
bloaty, a bit pregnant. They don't have that design elegance. But that's
just me.

Oh, fucking heaven's no. Replace the series of Captain Talksalot with
Captain Icantact Buthaveabeard?
How about a Star Trek: Sluts In Space with the spreadem' twins, Troy and
Crusher? "Is that an alien? Can't...Keep...From...Fucking...Aliens"
Or, Star Trek: Go Nowhere, about students of the academy in space. We see
them go to class with Wesley 'I desperately need a series' Crusher as a
dimensionally challenged professor.
Star Trek: Gin Mill - Each week we go to a new Ten Forward on a different
ship where an affable bar tender cures the Federation of what ails it.
Star Trek: Bellies in Space - Where we bring back Shatner and Nimoy and
merge the two by belly bouncing them at high speed until they become one.

Wouldn't work. Nimoy doesn't have a belly.

Every Trek movie has to start with a set of scenes as we get the old band
back together. It's a Trekdition!
>And, I don't think the actors would be quite as
> cheap as you think. Bashir has a new movie, Brooks is an advocate now,

Bashir was in a movie, wow, that doesn't mean he isn't available. Brooks
isn't exactly tearing up Hollywood. Meany doesn't have regular work, he is
doing guest appearances here and there - he was affordable enough for Law &
Order - a two part episode! Auberjonois has a series, but you could do it
during summer hiatus, or just not have Odo in the movie (no loss as far as
I'm concerned). Last I checked, Visitor, Lofton, DeBoer, and others were
quite available.

Daxs.

Then Riker appears, shouldering Riker aside. "Have all of you forgotten how
dangerous Lore turned out to be? As Chief of Security I cannot allow this!"
Riker: "But Worf, I thought you transferred to space station Deep Space 9?"
Worf: "My status has changed. Look for deleted scenes on the DVD to explain
it all."
Riker (puzzled): "Dee vee dee? Is that some kind of Klingon ritual? Look,
Worf..."
Worf: "Enough talk. I must protect the ship." (points phaser at B4)
"Doctor, please step back for your own safety."
Worf fires the phaser; B4 glows, then dissolves as the phaser effect
evaporates.
An awkward silence ensues.
Crusher: "So, uh, Will, poker tonight?"
Riker: "Beverly! I'm a married man now, we can't..."
Crusher: "No, Will, I meant cards, do you want to play cards?"
Riker: "Oh, well, yes, sure. 20:00 hours. Will you be joining us, Mr.

Worf: "It would be dishonorable for me to not take your money."
