Human gross population vs. Klingon gross population vs. Cardassian gross population [message #165953] Mo, 14 November 2005 15:06

Is there a source anywhere as to the population of the various species on
trek? It seems in the episodes (esp. the next generation) that humans are
far more abundant than Klingons, Vulcans, Cardassians, etc. Romulans seem to
be right up there with humans, except that we don't get to see to many of
them on our side of the neutral zone. There seem to be sparse colonies of
humans throughout the universe in otherwise uninhabited class M planets and
I was never really sure whether these evolved distinctly from earthlings or
whether they were implanted there in some sort of colonization program.

My real question though is whether there are raw population figures for the
various species?

I know of no "official" source, but I remember there was a FASA book (a
D&D type reference book) called "The Federation" which had a list of
planets and their race/population, up to about the year 2306 (Capt. Kirk
'movie' era).
