From my email today:

<<A friend of mine attended a fund raiser [at the Beverly Hilton on the
17th] for improvished youths that was held in beverley hills. My friend
is gay and escorts a friend of his to these kind of events because her
husband doesnt like to attend.

As he sat at his table shared with the likes of Smokey Robinson, he was
tapped on the shoulder and was asked to dance... it was Nichelle Nichols.

They ended up dancing the whole night away. He let me know she was the
sweetest peson he has ever met and, lol, her skin was like velvet!

At the end of the night she kissed him on both cheeks and thanked him.
She also remarked she was surprised he was still single! As he told me
this I thought of you and wanted to pass this onto you!

He said she was as beautiful as the day she was on Star Trek, just hair
a bit grey that added to her beauty!>>

Awwww Thanks for sharing this. :)))))))))))))))) That was awfully cute.

I love Nichelle, I really do. She always treated everybody so
beautifully. Kissing and hugging people. Sometimes when she was working
the crowd, even the security people got kissed. Nichelle: "Thank you so
much for coming here to see me." We never had the heart to tell her,
that these guys got payed to be there. ;) LOL That was lovely.

I remember so many funny incidents between fans and actors. I could
write a tell-all book about it. :)

For instance I remember a hillarious moment when a German fan asked
DeForest Kelley if he could please light her fire. Ooops. Turned out
she'd actuall meant to ask him to light her cigarette. Come on baby
light my fire . . . LOL

And then I remember attending a fan party with Doohan. They were pretty
stunned when we entered the room. Hey, I was told to bring my date, so
what the heck? Should I have mentioned that my date was Scotty? While
everybody was still preoccupied staring openmouthed at Jimmy, he
reminded them, "Am I gonna get a drink here?"

One of the girls standing near the bar was so flabbergasted that she
asked him, "Would you like some Scotch or would you like a screw
better?" Now that was a difficult one. You could see Jimmy's brain
work. He was like: Hmmh Can't I just have both? LOL

Then the girl rectified her mistake stuttering: Uh I meant Scotch or a
Screwdriver. Scotch it was then, without the slightest hesitation.

This doesn't have the slightest thing to do with Trek at all, this is
just a blatent advertisement for your websites supporting your
fantasies. Please either discuss Trek here, or don't post.

Well, He *did* say that not one word of all the laws in the Old
Testament - including, presumably, the book of Leviticus - was repealed
by Him.

And, of course, Christianity accepts the *entire* New Testament as being
of divine inspiration, including all the epistles.

Thus, your statement, although true, is irrelevant as far as its
intended purpose is concerned. The type of Christian who frets about our
society's increased acceptance of homosexuality as a departure from
Biblical standards - never mind the actual active bigots - tends to
view, say, the Gospel of Thomas as a dangerous potential source of
deception, not a better way to get in touch with the "real" Jesus.

It isn't that Spong guy you have to convince.

: Homosexuality is not love any more than rape is sex.

Well, yes, but only because neither rape nor sex (hetero or homo or any
other kind) is love. Love is an emotion, sex is an activity.
