I don't know. Considering how the mirror universe turned out under Spock, do
we really want him a heartbeat away from all of the buttons. I for one could
do without being a slave(unless it was to the Entendant of course).

Problem is alot of the current "big friggin' problems" are the fault of the
current idiot in office. I think that bumper sticker maybe is just what we

Nonsense. The big friggin problem is the idiots who blame the current
person in office. Nothing gets done .. good or bad .. with such an

Rather, allegedly* a majority of eligible US voters who chose to vote,
at minimum thought him not as bad at the alternate, not that they don't
necessarily acknowledge that he might be responsible for some of the
US's problems.

No, our biggest problems are the result of an idiot who lived in the 7th

"Allegedly"?
In America, in our Federal system, the votes in a Presidential election
are counted in each state separately. The idea that all 50 states could
rig an election simultaneously is just silly.
The problem with all conspiracy theories is they assume that hundreds of
people will simultaneously conspire to keep a secret for many years.
This at a time when classified Government documents are *routinely*
leaked to the news media.
Or as Benjamin Franklin once put it:
"Three may keep a secret--if two of them are dead"

While the current one seems to combine the business sence of Cyrano
Jones, with the ethics of Harry Mudd.

My God, Steven, how dare you! Why that's .... that's .... hate
speech. That's right. You hater! Even if it is true, what gives you the
right to speak the truth. We must all act as if it isn't. We must all act as

I can't compare Kirk's womanizing to any recent President.
According to Ken Starr's report, Bush's predecessor (what was his name
again?) had told Monica Lewinsky that he had enjoyed "hundreds" of love
affairs, some of which started only months after he got married.
TOS would have had to run for at least 10 seasons for Kirk's womanizing
to equal that track record.

Sorry. I should have rephrased that. People had a problem with Clinton's sex
life as if it was an all important issue. Bush started an unprovoked war and
a lot of good people were killed and that's accepted. I don't understand why
people think sex is bad but war and violence are okay.

Ok. What about someone who, on the very eve of his impending
impeachment, starts an unprovoked attack on the same country, or some poor
nation like, say for example ... Bosnia, where lots of men, women and

Actually, it would have to have run for many decades. And that's

The other was in effect a rapist. Deela (Wink Of An Eye) kidnapped
Kirk, and finally coaxed him into bed with a threat of death - after he
already made it plain he wanted no part of her desperate plan. BTW, he
also made it plain that he was not in any way on her side, or to any
degree sympathetic... and for the tenderhearted and broadminded Kirk,
that's saying a lot!

For the eight millionth time Clinton was not impeached because he got a
hummer from Monica. He was impeached because he lied under oath. If he had
said at the time he had sex with Monica, none of that would have been able

They failed to impeach him for something that any married man would have
lied about. No one died when Bill Clinton lied. Clinton oversaw eight
years of peace and prosperity. Non-issue.
Deaths in Iraq, deaths in New Orleans are ISSUES. I would prefer Bush
to be a sexual tramp than to be what he actually is: straight up!
Not being indiscreet about consensual extramarital sex? _Non-Issue_.
Especially since him and Hillary are still married. If she's not
outraged enough to dump him, then it's IMHO None Of Our Business.
