You're tellin' me! Where did everybody go? I'd rather be on Risa, the
Pleasure Planet.

So is Star Trek. Go figure.

I'd rather be on Wrigley's Pleasure Planet myself.

I don't think it'll die out, but not having new episodes to talk about lowers
traffic quite a bit.

I wonder how long it will be before
that does a 180. Maybe, one day,
it will be MORE because there are
no new episodes.

I know, dream on.

Maybe a movie would help.

There’s no more Star Trek for now and everyone already talked about Star
Trek. So everyone don’t have much to talk about. If there’s going to be any
more new Star Trek, then everyone will be back to talk more about any new
Star Trek series or movies in the future.

So either this newsgroup is dead or new fans who got to watch Star Trek
repeats (reruns as the Americans prefer to call it) on TV or watch Star Trek
DVDs, will be likely to post questions we already posted!

So if and when that happens, I would not say “This place is dead”, I would
say it’s more like a case of “This newsgroup is trapped in a non-ending
event repeating loop where we get to hear the same old questions over and
over again and again.”

Especially the two famous questions:

How did Khan know who Chekov is when they never met?

And

Did Kirk ever said “Beam me up Scotty”

I wonder what other already asked questions new fans will ask?

He did say: "Scotty ... beam me up!" in ST:IV (TVH). That's the
closest, to my knowledge, he ever came to that phrase.
