Indeed. But then again IMO coffee is something one makes at home (or work)
and beer is what one goes "out" for......

Well lookie here, you Canucks can believe whatever perverse
confectionery-related dogmas that you like. Here in the fine British Isles
though, a jam doughnut is sort of bun-shaped, with the jam in the middle. We
had an empire, you know.

According to this site
http://www.oup.com/ca/genref/dictionaries/about/
A Burlington Bun *is* a name used by colonial guttersnipes for... a jam
doughnut.
Don't even get me started on "jelly". I may become so furious as to
spontaneously implode.

Have you guys seen the TV commercial where all the snobby people
are sitting at the diner table asking for the preserves and then the
"down home" guy says in a quasi-southern American accent, "Can
ya please pass the jelly?" All the snobs roll their eyes and exhale in
their high faluting ways. It is kind of funny as it pokes fun at how
serious people can be about something so benign.

A doughnut without a hole is like a lifesaver without a hole. For
some reason it doesn't taste as good. And that reason is ...
surface area. Having a hole in the center exposes more surface
area, hence enhanced taste. A Burlington Bun is a very nice
confection, but it isn't a doughnut.

If this were a Bermaga script, we'd be talking about doughnuton particles by
now, and we'd have to reconfigure the main deflector to emit a doughnuton
pulse to make a hole in the Burlington Bun.
And then at the end, time would reset and the hole would have *never been
there at all*.

It all makes sense now, when you explain it in terms of doughnuts.
And the takions would be the sprinkles!

:P
But seriously - unless you really get into it - there is a difference
between jelly, jam, preserve and etc. It seems not enough people know that
there truly is a difference.

to constantly change you nic because so many people have killfiled you. I
and everyone else are laughing at you. No real life friends and no friends
on Usenet. Seriously take yourself out of the gene pool, we could do with
